Plein Air Original Oil Paintings
I setup my easel and paint outdoors. These oil paintings are made in single sessions and seek to playfully capture color impressions and moments in time.
My plein air paintings feature Balboa Park, in San Diego CA. As a born and raised San Diegan, I find myself most attracted to views in the park that you don’t see on a postcard. These are scenes not oft captured, and I think that makes them even more special.

This is a miniature original painting on paper. It was created using mixed media techniques. It measures 5"x3.5", the size of a standard note card.
This work of art was created in the field. The imagery you are seeing was painted on the spot. I setup my palette outdoors and made this painting by observing and being inspired by my surroundings.
On the back of each painting you'll find the name of the location where I painted, and what year I painted it in. Many of them are local to San Diego.
